Flex Tech is seeking Level III Voice & Data Technicians (Lead Technicians) for commercial new construction and retrofit projects throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. This role is ideal for experienced technicians ready to lead crews, manage installations, and support large-scale structured cabling projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise crews ranging from 7–30 technicians

Install, pull, label, dress, terminate, and test:

Cat 3
-
Cat 5e
-
Cat 6
-
Cat 6A cabling
-
-
Install support structures and workstation outlets (110 and Panduit)
-
Perform closet terminations including:
-
110 blocks
-
66 blocks
-
Bix and Krone hardware
-
-
Perform copper and fiber terminations, testing, and documentation
-
Conduct low-level and high-level cable testing
-
Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings

Assist with:
-
Material management
-
Crew scheduling
-
Staff coordination
-
Multi-project oversight
-

Support project planning and documentation (Gantt chart experience is a plus)

Maintain clean, organized, and safety-conscious jobsites
Required Qualifications
-
Minimum 3+ years of commercial Voice & Data / structured cabling experience
-
Strong knowledge of EIA/TIA standards
-
Proven experience in a lead or senior technician role

Experience with copper and fiber terminations
-
Ability to complete testing and documentation independently
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
-
Must own all required hand tools, PPE, and specialty tools
-
Willingness to work days, nights, and weekends as required

Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights

Physically capable of lifting materials and climbing ladders

Valid driver’s license

Reliable transportation to DFW-area jobsites

Ability to travel throughout the local market

Must pass a drug screen and background check

Strong commitment to safety and professionalism
