Revit Technician Jobs in Texas — Now Hiring

Flex Tech is hiring a Revit Technician for one of Texas’s strongest VDC/BIM teams. If you build electrical models in Revit and want to work on major commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, this is your opening. The role is based in the Garland and Leander areas on a hybrid schedule — three days in the office, two from home.

About the Role

You’ll join an established, growing open-shop electrical contractor with operations across Texas and expansion into Oklahoma. Their VDC/BIM department is regarded as one of the best in the state, handling design/build services alongside industrial, commercial, government, and institutional work. As a Revit Technician, you’ll turn field layouts into coordinated 3D models and help keep complex projects clash-free and on schedule.

What You’ll Do

  • Build 3D models from field superintendent layouts using Revit and Navisworks
  • Perform BIM coordination, including clash detection and resolution in Navisworks Manage
  • Upload models and follow the GC-led BIM coordination process through to model sign-off
  • Mentor and train Detailers in producing detailed shop drawings
  • Collaborate with the operations team, General Contractor, and MEP trade partners
  • Help develop and maintain Revit templates, details, and graphic standards
  • Produce bills of materials for procurement and labor tracking

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2–5 years of computer-aided drafting experience in commercial construction (electrical construction experience a strong plus)
  • Associate’s degree in CAD and/or equivalent working experience
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Revit
  • Ability to work in Navisworks to view and extract information from the BIM model
  • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and project specifications
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable running multiple projects at once with strong attention to detail on tight schedules
  • A self-starter who works well independently and on a team
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and an electrical field or theory background are pluses

  • Schedule: Hybrid — 3 days in office (Garland/Leander), 2 days remote

  • Location: Dallas–Fort Worth and Central Texas
