We are looking for Fiber Optic Technicians for our clients who expect us to find reliable, hard-working, honest people with the desire to exceed expectations. Pay Rate

$13.00 – $20.00 DOE

Job Requirement

  • Installing & handling various fiber optic cable types including single mode & multimode
  • Installing related infrastructure such as fiber tray, ladder racking, unistrut and threaded rod support structures

Skill Required

  • Experience with standard telecom twisted pair, coax, stranded, cat 5 & cat 6, including termination, testing, and labeling
  • Ability to work primarily at night with overlap during the day
  • Experience pulling and dressing Fiber and/or Copper cables in ISP & OSP
  • Ability to climb up or down ladders and work in confined spaces
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial Fiber Optic cabling
  • Experience splicing ribbon and/or loose-tube fibers
  • Experience with data center build-outs including cage builds, infrastructure and rack & equipment installs
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle in accordance with safe driving practices
  • Experience with OTDR, OLTS, VFL & Fluke testing equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret Network Diagrams and/or detailed instructions
  • TWIC card and Basic would be a plus
  • Some experience in working in chemical plants a plus
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
  • Must be willing and able to drive anywhere in the local market to get to work
  • Willingness to travel is a big plus, but no required
