Responsibilities of the Outside Plant Lineman

• Experience required setting poles and anchors as well as Utility pole framing
• Safely consciousness REQUIRED
• Securing Fiber Optics (ADSS specifically) to utility poles with use of Bucket truck
• Build hardware and maintain supplies for areal work.
• Climb utility poles to secure Fiber Optics
• Visually and physically inspect work area (poles) to verify safety
• Up keep inventory on hardware and Fiber Optics
• Experience hanging ADSS fiber optic cable from distribution and transmission poles
• Driving and operating bucket and digger trucks
• Experience with fiber optic and foam lashing experience a PLUS

Requirements of the Outside Plant Lineman

• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have a valid driver’s license, CDL Preferred but not required.
• Must be willing and able to drive anywhere in the local market to get to jobsites
• Willingness to travel is a big plus but not required
